November update is upon us!  Hard to believe that Thanksgiving is 1 week away!  The year sure has flown by and I'm starting to enjoy the warm fuzzy feelings that come along with the Christmas season in celebrating the birth of Jesus!
It was nice having more time to create this month since I'm done running to shows for the year!  I actually have 6 new handmades to offer!

The Merry Stocking Wreaths were created using a pattern by Notforgotten Farm! So sweet!
Here is a close up!

2 Hooked Trees on old granite funnels!

Another box design complete!  Pattern coming next week!

This sweet little guy stands 6" tall.  I designed and punched him to mount on a little vintage oil can.  So fun!

Christmas is almost here!!!

Say it isn't so!!!!!!!
So hard to believe that the days are ticking by so quickly!
 Just 8 more days!
As I scurried around today with the Christmas music blaring, the rustling of wrapping paper covering the gifts{which I did get done today! YEAH} and finishing up my PHM offerings for tomorrow evening I had to stop and count my blessings! I have so much to be thankful for!
I hope your days are filled with love, peace and joy!
My decorations are very simple this year and I wanted to share a couple pictures!
Here is my little cupboard top mitten tree!  My mom made the mini mittens and made the star!

Our Christmas tree was a bit taller this year but I love the Fraser Furs and the tree farm where we cut them doesn't have many smaller ones to pick from!  Not many ornaments on there but sure does the trick for a simple look!  I wanted a new tree topper so I hooked up this star from mustard and black wools!

A simple little tree in my living room!

Here is a peek at my new offerings for the PHM update tomorrow evening at 9pm Est!  Hope you stop by to see all the offering the artists have to offer! It is such a great talented group!

Craft Show and PHM update!

No rest for the weary in this household!  Summer is a flying by isn't it?!?!?  It's so hard to believe we are in the middle of August already!
With the Lititz craft show behind me I  now concentrate on preparing for the next show which is Shippensburg Corn Festival here in Shippensburg, PA!  It will be held August 30, 2014, 8am to 4pm!  Let's pray the weather is as good to us as it was for the Lititz show!  Perfect!
I only captured a few pictures of my set up on Saturday since we were quite busy with shoppers and browsers most of the day!  By the time it slowed down a bit I was to tired to move! LOL... must be that age thing creeping up on me!

PHM update is today too so be sure to stop by and see all the new primitive handmades the gals have created!   It is amazing how much talent we have in the group!

One of Robin Leuschen's doodles used to create this cutie!

These new crock covers are going over very well! This is one of Robin's designs too!

This is a large cabbage slaw cutter which I picked up in an antique store a while back!  I had no idea of the value until today!  It is made my Tucker & Dorsey MFG Co which has the embedded trademark on the back!

Fun with an old Rake head!

Since it's school time I had to put a little school girl in the scene!

Hope you are enjoying the same beautiful weather we are having in PA today!!!  Sure feels like Fall which I'm really not ready for yet!!!  Still getting over that long cold Winter!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

New offerings available on PHM tonight!

Happy Spring!
I'm quite excited about the PHM update this evening!
Lots of colorful and Spring handmades will be available by a wonderful group of artists.  I did some hooking, punching and appliqueing!
I've been scouring the antique shops for washboards to add a sweet something to the top! I look for the glass scrubbers and the metal ones with a nice patina.  Here are close ups of the two I'm offering on my page this month.  The little lingerie size has a needle punch design inspired by a Pennsylvania Dutch pen and watercolor art of a fraktur bird and flowers which is a pattern by Margaret Shaw.
This is a design I put together with the inspiration of the bird with the heart wings and flowers in wool applique.  This design will be the free pattern that comes along with the PHM newsletter this month so be sure to sign up if haven't already done so! The newsletter lign up link can be found on the home page of PHM.

I used a pattern by Linda Evans of Grant Street Woolworks to create the sweet little chick hooked bag and the wool pillow.  She has a kit available to create the hooked pocket. If interested please contact  Linda on Facebook to purchase the kit.
The wool I used for this pillow is an antique black over-dyed piece.

Last but not least is the burlap pillow that I hooked a bunny pulling a chick in a cart!

Here is the direct link to my page to read more about each offering. While you are there take a look at all the pages! You won't be disappointed!

Primitive Handmades Mercantile Update

Updates are now available over at PHM!  You won't want to miss them!
Several of us used Robin's Bird in the Hand Primitives doodle to create one of our offerings for this month!  The doodle is a Father Christmas Santa and simply prim perfect!
This is just one reason why you should be signed up for our newsletter because each month Robin graciously donates a free drawing for you to punch, hook, paint, stitch or applique!  This is also the doodle which our newsletter subscribers received today!  We are also having a $75.00 "Thank you" gift certificate drawing on Black Friday for one of our lucky newsletter subscribers to win! This is the second reason why you should be signed up for our newsletter!
Here is my wool appliqued mat or wall hanging I created for the challenge.

Here is what else listed today! I cross stitched a Santa, Joy and tree on a piece of prairie cloth and mounted it onto an old barrel stave!

I'm on a mission to find these little old brown crocks to make covers for!  I see a new display at my craft shows next year!  This one did sell but I have another identical crock here to create another one!

Remember last summer when I posted the stacks and stacks of unfinished wood appliance covers in my garage!  Well... the stacks are finally dewindling down! I've been painting and selling them at my shows all year and trying to find other uses for them!  I loved this old looking Christmas label so I placed it on this 2 slice toaster cover for a different look! A great hiding place suitable for any room!

I'm offering some of my mom's wonderful coverlet stockings this month too!  She has been busy busy busy stitching these up along with some of the cutest little mittens! Which I will show you! Love them in this old bowl!

She is selling these that are made from woven coverlet fabric for $2.50 each and oh so cute!!!

Just as cute are the cotton fabric ones which she sells for $2.00! If you need any for your little trees just email me!  They are about 2 3/4" in lenght! So cute!

Now back to PHM!!!  Check out the Pinterest board to see some updates from each shop all on one page! Thanks so much for stopping by!

I would like to take this time to wish everyone a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!!!
