A size that works great for all my punch needle designs for the little boxes with sliding lid is now available in my Etsy shop!

The inside measurement is 9 inches x 3 3/4 inches!  

And......... we make custom sizes too!!!  Just email the measurements of the finished project and Jeff will make a sifter frame for you!

Sauder Village Rug Hooking Week

So sad to have the week come to an end! 

What an experience we had for our first time attending this awesome show!!! 

Many many thanks go out to Kathy Wright for the invitation to vend and all the help from the staff!

It was well worth the 8 hour trip and year long preparation to be able to meet so many wonderful and friendly people! 

The rug show was absolutely amazing! 

To all of you that stopped by our booth and took home some goodies we can't thank you enough!  I enjoyed talking with each and every one of you!
Friday evening I meet with a group of ladies for a workshop!  They had the choice to create a Pumpkin Jack or Snowman Sewing Clamp.  What a great job they did making them their own!

Busy Summer!

Today was such a beautiful Summer day!  No humidity and lots of sunshine!  I didn't get out to enjoy much of it but had a nice dinner on my patio.  I busy preparing for Sauder Village Rug Hooking week in Archbold Ohio.  It is fast approaching and will be here before I know it!  I wanted to share a new piece of wood Jeff has created for the show!  We are calling it a hookers hutch! LOL  It has 4 holes drilled on the top to hold your hooks and scissors.  They will be available in all our colors!  Not sure how many we will be taking so if you are going you can preorder!

Hard to believe its time for the Primitive Handmades Mercantile May Offerings!

A Spring Fiber Fest in Gettysburg PA!

Over the next few weeks I will be sharing with you some exciting events I will be attending this year!  

The first one is a Spring Fiber Fest in Gettysburg, PA 

on April 19 - 22, 2018

Hosted by Kathy Makers of Primitive Homespuns, Linda Keller of Grant Street Woolworks and Teresa Miller of Teresa's Primitive Treasures! 

 A retreat for all those who love wool and hand stitching!!! Rug Hookers, Wool Applique, Punch Needle, Stitchers and Quilters are all welcome!!! 

We will provide a stitching lounge for you to sit, chat and share with others! 

3 classes will be offered too! 

Wool Applique a sweet pouch, punch up a primitive pinkeep box and a hooked pillow. 

 A great excuse to visit the historical town of Gettysburg, PA! Lots to see and do! There will be a merchant mall for shopping fun, door prizes and so much fun! Bring your friends and share a room to save on cost! Send a message for more information!!!

We have a very special rate on the rooms at $99.00 a night plus complimentary breakfast and dinner each day!  Can't beat that! 

The registration fee is $60.00 and the cost of each class is $40.00!

Whoa....... what a ride 2017 has been!

I can't thank you all enough for your support, following and friendship!

I've meet so many wonderful gals over the years and looking forward to meeting many more  in 2018 as I venture out a bit more from my little home in PA!

I am finding joy in the stitchin/hookin retreats popping up all over the country!  I must tell you!  If you have never been to a weekend retreat you must give it a try!  I can't explain the joy of spending time with others who enjoy the same handwork.  

I will be attending 3 this year and I must tell you about all three!

The first one is The Spring Fiber Fest 2018 which will be  held in Gettysburg, PA on April 19 - 22, 2018.  I am helping host this one with Linda Keller of Grant Street Woolworks and Kathy Makers of Primitive Homespun Wool and Needleworks Shop! 

Three classes will be offered for the beginner and the seasoned hooker, puncher and wool appliquer (I think I made that word up because its not in spell check).

Anyway...... can't wait! 

We will have a small merchant mall, prizes will be given away, hotel rooms are only $99.00 a night with a free breakfast and dinner each day!  Can't beat that deal!

The next retreat is May 31 - June 2, 2018 and is the Primitive Stitchers Society Retreat which will be held in Harrisburg, PA!  Not far for me to go this year!  So excited!  This is a well established retreat and on its 4th year!  The location of this retreat moves each year but has a great group of gals from all over the country!  The Merchant Mall is open to the public on Friday and Saturday so if you are in the area stop in!!!

The 3rd is Rug Hooking Week at Sauder Village in 
Archbold, Ohio!  
It is being held  August 14 - 18, 2018!  I will post more about it later..... so excited!  

I wanted to share a challenge I started January 2017 and stitched on it all year long!   Some of you may have followed along and watched it grow!  I'm thrilled that I was able to fill it since I missed a few months once my shows started!  A new challenge has begun for 2018 and I've started a Facebook group if you would like to join in and create a masterpiece yourself!
