Fall and Winter are upon us!

Now that August and September are behind us its time to move on to creating Winter and Christmas wares! 

The weather is finally feeling like Fall with cooler days settling in. 

Preparations for my annual Christmas Home show are under way which will be held December 9, 10, 11 this year.  I've decided to have it a month later which will give me more time to create. 

We have a new grandson due to arrive around the 13th so waiting anxiously to meet him.. its been 6 years since we had a baby in the family! 

Here are a few pictures of punch needle finishes this week and my latest hooked rug. 

I'm not sure what it is about old screen but it always catches my eye!  This little wooded screen made the perfect backing for a rug.

Next Hooking Project!

I was excited to find this sweet little child's folding chair while out at the flea markets last weekend!  I really don't know what it is about these little things but I'm always drawn towards them!  I've decided this is a perfect seat for a hooked rug!  So.............. I'm going to attempt to have it ready for the next PHM update on April 19th! 

Stay warm and pray the warm weather gets to PA here real soon! That cabin fever is causing me to take some awfully brisk walks these days! I just looked outside and it was snowing to beat the band!  It's April holy smokes!!!!

 

A new little pouch!

I had fun punching this Father Christmas design by Robin of Bird In The Hand Primitive! I added it

to black wool to create the primitive pocket! The back of the pouch is the same black wool I used on the front and also to make the strap. It is lined with my favorite piece of mustard flannel with tiny dots in different colors.

The wait is over.......

So happy the wait is over for my mom's featured home in the Mercantile Gatherings Summer 2011 issue!!! If you would like a subscription to this wonderful primitive magazine you can find the subscription information here on their website Mercantile Gatherings! The magazine is carried in prim shops across the US too so check with your local shop! I will be posting more pictures from the CD that were not used in the magazine over the next few weeks.
