Busy Summer!

Today was such a beautiful Summer day!  No humidity and lots of sunshine!  I didn't get out to enjoy much of it but had a nice dinner on my patio.  I busy preparing for Sauder Village Rug Hooking week in Archbold Ohio.  It is fast approaching and will be here before I know it!  I wanted to share a new piece of wood Jeff has created for the show!  We are calling it a hookers hutch! LOL  It has 4 holes drilled on the top to hold your hooks and scissors.  They will be available in all our colors!  Not sure how many we will be taking so if you are going you can preorder!

Also, it is time for Primitive Handmades Mercantile update tonight!  Be sure to stop by and check out all the wonderful pages!

I am offering this hookers hutch along with a wool sewing clamp and a child's chair with a hooked rug mat on it!

Sifter Frame & PHM update!

New offerings on Primitive Handmades Mercantile tonight at 9pm est!  Summer has flown by and Fall is fast approching and will be gone before we know it!
August is probably my busiest month of the year with 2 shows!
I didn't take one picture on Saturday at the Lititz show.... I have no idea why... I felt so unorganized for some reason!  Could have been the humidity and worry of storms........ which by the way held off until we packed in record time because one was coming!
Next Saturday is the Shippensburg Corn Festival, Shippensburg, PA!  It's a nice show with about 200 vendors down main street of town.
My space number is D207 if you by chance are coming......... look me up!
Jeff has left his banking job and is now my full time woodworker!  Not sure how that is working out some days! LOL   A big adjustment for me!
I hope to get some new ideas on the table saw as soon as these shows are over!
I loved these for my hooked rugs and if you would like to order a frame like this Jeff is ready to start making them!
They measure 12" by 12" and are made from reclaimed oak barn boards!   The price is $36.00 plus shipping! Just send an email to .....teresasprim@yahoo.com to place an order.

And don't forget!!! Tonight is PHM update and this is a peek of what I will be offering!

A close up of the little boxes with a punched wool design!

Thanks for stopping by and stay cool!!!

Quilt Show & PHM Update this week!

It will be so nice when I'm totally packed up and ready to leave Thursday morning! Tomorrow evening the truck will be loaded and by 8am Thursday we, meaning two sisters and a niece, should be on our way to Lewes, Delaware!  Hope to put my feet in the sand before heading over to the quilt show to set up!
If you are in the area and want to see a schedule of events you can read more about it here!

We want to thank everyone who waited so patiently until we were able to complete all the orders for wood pieces!  I think we are finally caught up and Jeff is looking for more!  I need to keep him busy while I'm away at the show!
If you would like more information on any of these just send an email teresasprim@yahoo.com......or make a post!

4 Drawer Thread Cupboards!
A great way to hold all those balls of thread!

A box with a flip up lid and sheep graphic!

Cutter boxes or Appliance Covers! The backs and bottoms are open to hide and slide! Works great for strip cutters!

More information next week on a fun retreat in the works for October in Gettysburg, PA!!!

PHM Update tonight and my Inspiration for one design!

While browsing the antique mall a few weeks ago this sweet little bag caught my eye!  It was labeled "seed bag" with a question mark!  I felt that was a logical guess as to what it was used for.  My first thoughts were what a great shape it would make for a cross stitch or embroidery design so it had to come home with me!  A pattern is in the works so be watching for that!  I used some of my stitching designs which I've placed on my 1 Year of Stitches challenge.
Here is the bag I created with the inspiration of the antique fine!
And here is the antique bag! Needs an iron but wanted to maybe lightly wash it first.

The rest of my offerings for Primitive Handmades Mercantile this month are a punch needle wool egg with a check, bunny punch needle spoon, tulip in bloom pocket and a tulip pinkeep!

Enjoy your weekend!

I will be offering some of my mom's sweet old blue quilt pinkeeps this month! Just love the soft old fabric!

I can take a few orders for these Pumpkin Jacks on the oil can! Send me an email to order.

I was so excited when I found this unique scoop in an antique store last weekend!  It makes the perfect little frame for the blue tulip punch needle.  Held in place with a magnet so not to destroy the value of the scoop!

I've also been collecting these old frying pans to create a series of punch needle design inserts!
Up first.... a BOO Pumpkin for Fall!
Also, attached by magnet!

Still loving little chairs!
I hooked a chair pad with a simple pumpkin for this sweet natural wood chair!
