It is a dreary rainy day here in PA today so I took the time to finish up the hooked piece I was working on! Loved this design as soon as I saw it in the wool shop! The pattern is from Primitive Rug Designs by Anne Nichols! It is hooked on linen which was a first for me and I really did like it! Kathy from Rugs of Mine in Time helped me with picking out the wool colors and I'm real happy with the look! Thanks Kathy! I'm going to hang this in my bathroom between two of my wool appliqued pictures after my husband makes some kind of wood piece to hang it from or on. The space I want to hang it in requires a little bit more coverage so I'm thinking a wood backing or hanger will do the trick!I also want to remind you about the contest we are having on the Primitive Handmades Mercantile site! Each page has a lime green letter hidden among the descriptions of the offerings and all you need to do is collect all 20 and unscramble the phrase! Here are some of the offerings this month that are still available! In "Liberty Handmade Primitives" you will find Buster the Cat! So cute!Looks like Jennifer still has this beautiful cross stitched "Wool" pillow remaining!
Kathy's needle punched eggs are the sweetest!Joanne has some hooked eggs! Check them out! This is just a sampling of the wonderful handmades so be sure to stop by and check every page!!!

Hi, Teresa,
ReplyDeleteHere in Ohio we had the weather yesterday with rain that you are getting today. We did need the rain, though, things are really popping out now! Thank goodness we didn't have the horrible storms they had in Illinois. Your new 1808 hooked piece is so pretty, it will look great hanging in your bathroom. I love the wools that you chose.

Teresa, Your little mat turned out great. Love the colors. It will definitely fit into your home :). I'm just wondering what your next piece will be!
ReplyDeleteIn response to your comment left on mine today, using the elevator at the shop is no problem. Look forward to seeing you on Thursday!
Love the colors you chose! The background is beautiful with different shades of tan. :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rug! Oh it would look great hanging on a piece of old barnwood or I even have some pieces hanging from a small prim type quilt hanger with a shelf. So many choices!
ReplyDeleteI love it and think it would be perfect hanging on any of my walls too, LOL!
